i know its the mets, but this is the coolest shit i’ve ever seen a human being do
Wtf????
Smoove with it too
This is the kind of shit you see in anime that shows that a certain character is stronger than other characters.
“Pathetic. You can’t even hold the bat you dare step to the plate? Have you no respect for the sport?”
Baseball players are to be feared
Reblogging for the last one
^Same for me
They just kept getting progressively more “woah”
much woah
Oh my god this is a lucky universe
every time this post comes around, my favorite part is the “I know it’s the Mets” qualifier at the beginning lmao like how baseball that this zillion note posts starts with “sorry for putting this hellteam on your dash, bUT”
Y’all have no idea how hard I was trying not to laugh in class at that poor bird
They…they just blew up a fucking bird…
World Heritage Post

personally my favorite thing about Mr. Bird Evaporator is this
imagine being the poor fool tryna rob this man’s house only to be instantly transported to the same dimension as that bird
He does photography now, and I guess just in case you’re booking him wondering “is it that Randy Johnson?” … here’s his logo:

Kamen Rider Gotchard
Teaser Notes #1
Message from Producer Minato Yosuke
=-=-=-=-=
To everyone dropping by the Kamen Rider Web, it's been a while. Minato of Toei here!!
I have been involved in Kamen Rider Zero One and Kamen Rider Saber as an assistant producer up until this point, but this time with Kamen Rider Gotchard, I will be taking the mantle of the producer.
I may still be a newbie, but I hope for your support for this coming year!
That said, I myself find this all something I'm experiencing for the first time, I am full of worries as to whether I'd be able to fill this important position.
Actually, since I have been appointed as the producer I have been making countless mistakes. But in each of them, my seniors at Toei have extended their help. Director Tasaki has encouraged me with his "it's alright! (大丈夫ですよ)". The main writers, Hasegawa-san and Uchida-san have given wonderful ideas. The wonderful staff has supported this work and now we stand at this point.
The theme of this year is "alchemy", that as well has had a series of failures throughout history. The unrealistic dream of turning stone into gold. For us in the modern period, we know that is impossible. It is inevitable to fail. In fact, "alchemy" is incomplete even to this day. But alchemists have believed that it will one day come true.
Over the course of nearly 2000 years, repetition of experiments with little by little alteration of the conditions, techniques passed down form person to person, and as long as there are new discoveries that again is applied to the conditions, they patiently repeat experiments again and again.
No matter how many times they stumble, they never give up. Dig your teeth into it and move forward!
That heart, that itself is an alchemist! (Huh, this sounds like a phrase I've heard from somewhere?)
Kamen Rider Gotchard/Ichinose Houtarou a highschool student, is also that incomplete work.
He may not be a perfect star like Ukiyo Ace.
He may not have a sense of responsibility to support his family like Igarashi Ikki.
He may not be a superman who with his strong will keeps his promise like Kamiyama Touma.
He may not be one who stands above as a president like Hiden Aruto.
But the possibilities are endless!!!!!
Even if he doesn't know what's happening he'll keep going. Beyond that maybe there is something that someone has not seen before. I hope to see you all explore the puzzling world of alchemy with Houtarou.
And will Houtarou
Us in the staff, the cast
And you watching on TV, PC, and smartphones
Will we be able to "gotcha" see a golden future that no one has seen before?
Broadcast starts 3rd of September, please watch it with eyes like arrow!
new Let’s Anime post is all about the Roman Albums, those classic era anime guidebooks that guided many of us through the mysterious world of anime
This is a nice read. And while I don’t have any actual Roman Albums, I do have Macross Perfect Memory and some of the old Newtype 100% guidebooks
Possibly the toughest Showa Kamen Rider, while only having an artificial arm. Riderman took a nuclear explosion to the face and walked it off.

Sad update everyone, Tama recently passed away… An estimated 3,000 people, including railway officials, attended Tama the cat’s funeral on Sunday, days after she died of heart failure aged 16. [x]

For those who haven’t read articles about it, the local shrine elevated her to a god. She’s now the Eternal Stationmaster and patron god of the station.
Beautiful.
Now I’m crying thanks
and a new cat was hired right?
yep! her name is Nitama (essentially ”second tama” or “tama II”) and she served under Tama as an apprentice before being appointed her deputy

she works very hard
Everytime this crosses my dash, I reblog. It is the law.
I’m crying at 11pm over train cats
Nitama, already now a mature cat (born 2010), has a protege named Yontama (fourth Tama, b. 2016). There is no information available for either the physical befellment or tragic self-disgrace which has removed Santama from contention.

^Nitama majestic, and below with Yontama

Yontama.

a legacy
okay but actually what happened to santama (or sun-tama-tama, which is her name because it’s a pun on santama) was that she was basically sent to train for the position in okayama and they liked her so much they refused to send her back
“Sun-tama-tama” (a pun off of “Santama”, lit. “third Tama”) was a calico cat sent for training in Okayama. Sun-tama-tama was considered as a candidate for Tama’s successor, but the Okayama Public Relations representative who had been caring for Sun-tama-tama refused to give the cat up writing, “I will not let go of this child, she will stay in Okayama.” [25]
As of September 2018, Sun-tama-tama is working as the stationmaster in Naka-ku, Okayama and appears occasionally on Tama’s Twitter account.
Every time I see this post there’s new info and it gets better
You are only allowed to scroll pass this after you pay tribute to the great Tama Station masters.

Nitama presenting her yearly offerings to Tama Daimyōjin on the anniversary of Tama’s Death, June 23 (The offerings are presented by the company president, as Nitama is a cat and thus can’t hold the offerings herself) (Not pictured, but also present, Yontama)
you cannot pass without reblogging guys. i’m sorry, i don’t make the rules.
You can’t not reblog a goddess. It’s just what’s so. :)
So, fun fact- the manga Noragami has an arc where the main character, Yato (a minor kami/God that is down on his luck but trying to make it big time) goes to a council/conference for all the Gods in Japan.
And they are announcing the winner of the “up and coming god” award, and of course, Yato thinks it’s him.
But no-

ITS TAMA!
Always reblogging this.
Shintoism is such a neat belief structure to me - I was raised Catholic and there’s this constant sense that it’s functionally a solved system; the dogma is established and except for a new saint now and then it’s done growing.
The idea that you can elevate a new god is really nice, there’s something vital and living within that concept; that belief can and will grow with the world around it.
Genuinely bless any religion in which “we promoted this very nice cat to the status of god” is a thing that not only can theoretically happen, but isn’t even controversial or weird when it does

WTF are those obelisks on the right?…
Tasty obelisk fries..
“It’s digestible” has got to be the laziest goal I’ve ever seen achieved by a food product.
“It’s digestible”
“It’s digestible” is pertinent!! Okay, for those of you who haven’t researched Crisco for writing fic about gay sex in the mid-late 60s:
The first-edition of The Joy of Gay Sex, published in 1977, declared, “Vegetable shortening may be the best lubricant, since it is not only greasy but also digestible”[4] Such a statement perhaps gives new meaning to the companies boastful declarations that “Its digestible” and “Crisco has been making life in the kitchen more delicious for years.” Similarly, in the 1978 sex manual The Advocate Guide to Gay Health, Crisco even earned an entry in the book’s index. Discussions of the shortening’s use as an anal lubricant indicate its popularity, with statements such as: “The lubricant, typically the cultic Crisco, must be copious.”[5] In fact, Crisco was so synonomus with gay sex that discos and bars around the world took on the name, such as Crisco Disco in New York City, which was one of the premiere clubs during the 1970s and early 1980s. Other clubs or bathhouses, such as Club Z in Seattle, even featured murals with Crisco. Thus, Crisco was conversely also one of many things that led to the formation of gay identities during the 20th century.

The more you know! :D
I have learned a new thing today.
Love this post for so many reasons but most especially because this is from all the way back in 2012 and and yet not a single blog in this thread is deactivated
I enjoy that not only does this have a link to an actual source, but the link still fucking works.
but @rhea314 you didnt include a picture of the crisco disco! AND MY GOD THE DJ BOOTH WAS A GIANT CRISCO CAN!

Go dance and get fisted. Fucking iconic.
Love the gay history, but i just wanna correct that the “it’s digestible” in the gay stuff was a reference to crisco’s tagline it had been using since 1911, the actual meaning of its digestible is because it’s main competition came from “enhanced” lards which were rendered pig fat mixed with non food thickeners that literally did not digest and caused people to basically just shit out pig cream, since crisco was veggie based the body digested it along with the food
This post is the opposite of net zero information. Not only did I learn several new facts about gay history but also we rounded our way back to the original question of the tag line and the mini obelisks.
It’s a net profit of information. 12/10 post
